So many people enjoy the trails in the wilderness. There are probably as many reasons for hiking the trails as there are people who hike them.
This work depicts the challenges of hiking on trails covered with tree roots and blow downs from storms. Many volunteers help to put in steps and clear these trails after storms pass through. Many hikers talk about the "green tunnel" and how wonderful it feels to finally rise to the crest of a mountain to see the distant terrain. They may enjoy the view but they must hike onward! Some people simply want to enjoy the wilderness and some have personal goals they set for themselves.
